Summer Reading Program & Scholastic Book Fair

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Summer Reading Program! We had a great time at our summer-end party with Silly Safaris! Here are a few pictures from the program:

Don’t forget: July 22-26 is our Scholastic Book Fair week! If you have Book Bucks, you may use them for books. We will also accept cash or check for school supplies and other items. Book Bucks were generously provided through a Round Up grant from Orange County REMC. Thank you Orange County REMC!

4-H Extension Presents “Maker Spaces”!

You’re invited to our library event! 4-H Extension will be at the library on Tuesday, June 18! 4-H Extension presents “Maker Spaces”, and they will have something special for us to make! We’re really excited! The free event starts at 1:00 pm and is for ALL AGES. We hope to see you here!

Silly Safaris presents “Aliens… Really Weird Animals”!

You’re invited to our library event! Silly Safaris will be at the library on Tuesday, July 16! Silly Safaris presents “Aliens… Really Weird Animals”, and they will have really cool and weird animals for us to see! We’re really excited! The free event starts at 6:00 pm and is for ALL AGES. Patoka Lake Visitor’s Center presents “Strange Nature”

You’re invited! Our Summer Reading Program has a great event this year from Patoka Lake Visitor’s Center. Patoka Lake presents “Strange Nature” at the library on Tuesday, June 4. The free program is for ALL AGES at 1:00 pm. Wondering what “Strange Nature” they’ll present? Stop by and see!

Summer Reading Kickoff

You’re invited! We’re having a Summer Reading Kickoff with Professor Watermelon. This will be on Tuesday, May 28 at 1:00 pm (ALL AGES are welcome!) Professor Watermelon is a children’s book author and teacher who travels the country motivating children to enjoy learning.

Summer Reading Challenge for Adults and Teens

We’ve started our Summer Reading Challenge for Adults and Teens! Stop by the library to get a challenge card. Read one book per category; have the card stamped by the library for each book that you read; and when your card is filled, you could win a prize! The deadline for the Reading Challenge is Monday, September 9, so there’s plenty of time to read.
