Backroad Brushstrokes with Tawana

We are hosting another Backroads Brushstrokes with Tawana event on Feb.16th starting at noon.

You will paint on canvas with Tawana’s instruction and your creativity then leave with a masterpiece of your own work!

Normally, the class has $26 charge but due to a generous donation from the Orange County Foundation we are only charging a $5 non-refundable reservation fee.

The event is limited to 15 so don’t wait to stop by the library and pay the $5 reservation fee in to guarantee your place. Remember this is a non-refundable fee (unless the event is canceled by the library).

Fine Forgiveness February

We are excited to offer this opportunity to our patrons to have late fees cleared from their account. We want everyone in our library district to be able to enjoy and use the library (which is really YOUR library) so for the the month of February ONLY, we will forgive your late fees. Here are the details:

1. You MUST come to the library to request that late fees be forgiven.

2. Only Late Fees for OUR materials that were turned in late will be forgiven. We cannot forgive fines from other libraries.

3. We cannot forgive the cost of lost/damaged material but we can reduce the fines so only the cost of the material is billed.

4. If you returned “Lost” material in good condition, we will forgive all fines and fees associated with that item. Good condition means, not damaged, written in, broken or otherwise made unusable by our patrons.

This opportunity has rarely if ever been offered to our patrons and it is unlikely that it will be again so please stop by and request that your late fees be forgiven!

Paoli Public Library Outreach Serving Homebound Program

The staff of the Paoli Public Library is excited to offer a new service to the residents of Paoli and Paoli Township. Paoli Public Library has established a new program to serve its community better, especially in the area of those who are unable to come to the library due to illness or disability, which renders them home-bound. The program is the Paoli Public Library Outreach Serving Homebound program. Volunteers will deliver and pick-up materials that a patron requests. Unfortunately, the volunteers are not yet in place, but until they are, patrons may depend on a person of his / her choice to fill the void. Once a request reaches the staff, they will have the requested materials ready to go at the designated time. When the items are ready for return, the helper can bring them back to the library.

If you are homebound and wish to participate in this service, call the library at 1-812-723-3841 ext. 101 to obtain your registration packet. If calling is not an option, have your designated helper come to the library to pick-up your paperwork. There are five pieces of information in this packet, three of which need to be returned to the library. Mailing your completed forms to the library is also an option.

Our mailing address:
Paoli Public Library
100 West Water Street
Paoli, Indiana 47454

Only ten persons can initially be accepted in the program, so it is important to get the application returned as soon as possible for approval. Each participant must have a valid Evergreen library card. Persons who do not have a library card may apply for one. The card information is in the packet.
